Kickstarter Late Pledges Closing

Ahoy!

We wanted to let you know that Kickstarter Late Pledges will be closing soon as we move into the next stage of the campaign.

After Late Pledges close on Kickstarter, new orders will transition to our BackerKit pre-order store. This means any of you who missed the campaign will still have a way to order before we lock everything for production: https://cradleofthegods.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

If you’re already a backer, there’s nothing you need to do and you do not need to place a new order. Your pledge is secure, and this change does not affect your reward, survey, add-ons, or place in the fulfillment process.

You’ll eventually manage your existing pledge through your BackerKit survey as planned. This is where we’ll collect the remaining fulfillment details, including any reward-specific questions and shipping details. We’ll reach out again when the surveys are being sent out. Shipping will be charged closer to shipping date.

For VIP backers, the VIP discount will eventually be applied via the pledge manager also.

Thank you again for helping bring this book to life. We’ll keep sharing updates as we move through BackerKit and towards fulfillment.

What a voyage! Thanks to all of our backers and supporters.

We’re thrilled that the Collector’s Edition is going to become a prestigious physical printed book, and can’t wait for you all to dive in and immerse yourselves in the world.

What happens next?

1. Kickstarter will process pledges
Since the campaign closed, Kickstarter has been processing pledges from backers. For most backers, this happens automatically and no action is needed. Occasionally, a card may need to be updated or a payment may need to be retried. If Kickstarter contacts you about a payment issue, please follow their instructions so your pledge can be completed before we move into the BackerKit stage.

2. BackerKit is our Pledge Manager
After pledges have been processed and everything is ready, we’ll open the pledge manager through BackerKit.

Your Kickstarter pledge will carry over into BackerKit. You will not need to pledge again. BackerKit is where you’ll review your order details, make any required reward or add-on selections, confirm your shipping address, choose any additional add-ons if you wish, and pay the shipping charge for your order.

If you backed us through the VIP offer, your 10% VIP discount will still be honored. We are finalizing the exact way this will appear in BackerKit, and we’ll share clear instructions before surveys go out.

We’ll send another update before the BackerKit surveys go out, so you’ll know when and what to look for.

3. We’ll begin preparing the book for production
Behind the scenes, we’re busy with the production process and preparing the next steps for manufacturing.

We’ll strive to keep you updated at each major stage.

A quick note on comms
We know that trust matters after a campaign ends, and we plan to post updates as the project moves forward. If something changes, we’ll tell you. If we hit a delay, we’ll explain what happened and what we’re doing about it. If there is progress to show, we’ll try show it. One More Thing…
We didn’t quite hit the final stretch goal to print the vintage Pulp Horror comic, Grim’s Echoes of Fear, but came so close to that we’ve decided to give the physical comic to all backers whose pledge includes the physical Collector’s Edition, and the digital version to all digital backers. It’s the least we can do for such an awesome crew.

First stretch goals unlocked and funded! We're blessed to have such good crewmates. For this reason we want to make this Collector's Edition the finest physical treasure it can be. Let the treasure chest unlocks begin!
